Connecting: Heart, Body, and Mind

(Felicia Larson)

Disconnected, disembodied leaders are like bobbleheads: jittery, jumpy, saying yes to the wrong things and no to the right things. If you are disconnected from your own body how do you expect your people to believe you’re listening to THE Body? How do you genuinely connect with people if you are not genuinely connected with yourself? Jesus led from a place of deep connection to God, knowing that he was deeply and truly loved. Come, learn to sit and be present with all of your joy, exhaustion, expectation, and reservations. Come learn to connect with yourself as you connect with God in the real everyday of life. No more bobblehead leadership – let’s get connected!

Understanding: Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Alpha

(Kelsey Paterson)

Regardless of your age or season of ministry, chances are your leadership influences those in the three most-recent generations: Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Alpha. Understanding the unique characteristics and values of each generation will maximize your ability for inclusive and empowering engagement. In this workshop we’ll explore how these generations are similar and how they are different. We’ll identify the cycles of history and patterns of generational theory. You’ll come away with deeper understanding and practical tools to love and lead those born in these generations.

Thriving: The Making of a Bold Leader

(Riana Shaw Robinson)

What does it mean to be a woman in ministry who leads with Boldness?  The Bible has many examples of women leading boldly as prophets, preachers, entrepreneurs, warriors, spies, and queens. Bold leadership requires that we challenge the status quo, expand boundaries, seek out the wisdom and strength of our sisters, and ignore the voices (including our own) that question God's unique call on our lives. You'll leave this session with Biblical models of bold leadership and specific tools to respond to opposition and resistance, ask for what you need, navigate disappointment, and build meaningful relationships with other Bold women leaders.

Belonging: Ministry in Full Color

(Cris Coniconde and Sally Bryant)

How do we lead well in Christian spaces amidst growing ethnic diversity? We each bring our unique stories into our workplaces and churches. Our stories shape who we are and how we see the world. In this workshop we’ll explore the importance of knowing and owning your story; learning to listen to the stories of others without judgment or bias; the importance of allyship; and tools for how to lead others toward belonging and solidarity. This workshop will help you raise your cross-cultural IQ, equipping you to lead your ministry in full color.
